Congratulations CHUH District Art Show Participants & Winners!

Highlights of Advanced Student's Ceramic Artwork 2015-2016

Ceramics II/III
Heights High School
Students reviewed all the basic building techniques in making a pair of pots.

Students chose an artist and era to study
and inspire them to build a functional artwork of their choice.

Students developed their skill level
on the pottery wheel and in glazing technique.

Students learned how to use sprig molds
and incorporate sprig castings into a final design.

Students learned how to make and use their own molds.

Students learned how to combine many types of castings
 to create a visually interesting and texturally rich surface.
